On July 16, 2026, in accordance with the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP) Summer Camp, our Center for Hydride Energy Chemistry (DNL1901) successfully held a postgraduate recruiting propaganda. Outstanding undergraduate students coming from universities across the country gathered and joined for this camp.
In order to provide students with a more targeted and fruitful communication experience, this activity was arranged in groups according to students' professional backgrounds. Campers from different fields such as chemistry, chemical engineering, materials, and biology, respectively entered each research group of the center/group and had in‑depth exchanges with the supervisor teams.
At the beginning of the activity, the research center introduced to the students the development of our research center in a comprehensive manner, as well as the achievements made in the field of hydrogen storage, ammonia synthesis and decomposition, and hydride-ion conduction.

During the laboratory visit, students entered the laboratories in groups and visited equipment such as glove boxes, high‑speed ball milling machine, PCT, XRD, GC‑MS, and electrochemical workstations. The responsible staff, in combination with the experimental operations in each area, introduced the basic procedures from material preparation, performance testing, to product characterization. During the visit, two-way interaction between the staffs and students was performed effectively.
After the visit, the center prepared fruit and refreshments for the students. In a relaxed and pleasant tea break atmosphere, the students sat around and communicated with the potential supervisors and senior fellow students, gaining an in‑depth understanding of the research directions, training models, and scientific research life of the research groups.
This summer camp postgraduate recruiting propaganda not only enabled outstanding undergraduate students from universities across the country to deeply understand the scientific research strength and educational philosophy, but also built a bridge of communication between the institute and outstanding students.
