Research Interests:
Hydrogen has three chemical (valence) states, i.e., +1, 0, and -1. Hydridic H- (hydrogen anion) is highly energetic and reactive. Hydrides are the focal subject of research in my academic career. We aim to disclose the intriguing chemical and physical properties of metal hydrides and employ these compounds to advance science and technology of hydrogen energy, in particular, hydrogen storage, ammonia synthesis, and hydride ion conduction.
