Magnesium Hydride (MgH2) as Hydrogen Storage Applications

Launched Jan 10, 2025, a 150 t/y MgH2 pilot plant is now in trials. This joint initiative uses a proprietary one-pot method to produce this key hydrogen storage material, advancing solid-state hydrogen storage for renewable energy integration and the 'dual carbon' goal.
On Feb 11, 2026, a complete set of technologies for the preparation process of magnesium-based solid-state hydrogen storage materials was successfully passed the official evaluation of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation.
